RULES

Classes

Each contestant in So You Think You Can Move will be placed into one of four classes based on the criteria below:

Beginner Marcher Class
7th-9th graders
Experienced Marcher Class
10th-12 graders
Collegiate Marcher Class*
College or High School graduates
*Must be 21 years of age or younger on May 31st, 2022
Feedback Only Class
Participants that wish to receive valuable feedback only on the prelims round of competition.

Rounds

Each class will compete independently of each other and will occur over three rounds:

Prelims Round- All Contestants compete in Prelims Competition! Each contestant will be given a Marching Challenge which they will then record and upload. The challenge, instructions, and upload information will be emailed when participants register. A score of 100 or better on a prelims submission based on the rubric, found HERE, will advance to Semifinals.

Semifinals Round- Semifinalist will compete with a marching and a movement challenge. The highest scoring 20 Students from each classification will advance to Finals Competition.

Finals Round - Finalist will all receive an embroidered finalist patch and will compete with a marching and movement challenge to possibly win additional awards which are listed HERE. Finalist will also be announced and celebrated on the Blue Stars Drum and Bulge Corps Social Media Platforms.
