JUDGING

• Each class will be judged independently of each other.

• All performers will be judged using a standardized rubric that is specific for each round. For the preliminary round, the rubric is centered around five areas and contestants must score at least 100 to advance to Semifinals:

  • • • Posture & Body Control

      • Foot Timing

      • Marching Technique*

      • Direction Changes

      • Execution & Pathways

*There is not a specific marching technique requirement as you will be judged on consistency! Contestants should use the technique and marching style they are most comfortable with.

• Regardless of class and placement of each participant, all performers will receive individualized and thoughtful feedback regarding their performance from an adjudicator.
